I’m currently in Winnipeg and when I think of ‘grand‘, I always think of the Fort Garry Hotel located in downtown Winnipeg! The Fort Garry Hotel is a historic hotel that was built in 1913 by the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway and it was the tallest structure in the city when it was completed (not anymore!).
Rob and I found this hotel by chance and we always try to stay here when we are in Winnipeg. We like the old fashion style of the hotel, the grandeur, the elegance and the service we receive. The staff are always polite and courteous, something we don’t always find at other hotels. Above all else, it is not a very expensive hotel and it is near the the Forks market, a wonderful place to go shopping and exploring when we fly down from the Arctic. -Sophia
